These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the techvauose website and participation in our machine learning engineering courses. By accessing our website or enrolling in our programs, you agree to be bound by these terms.
Please read these terms carefully before using our services. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you should not use our website or enroll in our courses.
1. Definitions
- "We," "Us," "Our" refers to techvauose, a training organization operating in Singapore.
- "You," "Your," "Student" refers to any person accessing our website or enrolling in our courses.
- "Services" refers to the machine learning engineering courses and related educational content we provide.
- "Content" includes all text, images, code, course materials, and other information on our website or in our courses.
- "Course" refers to any training program offered by techvauose, including MLOps, Distributed Computing, and Computer Vision courses.
2. Eligibility and Registration
Age Requirements
You must be at least 18 years old to enroll in our courses. By registering, you confirm that you meet this age requirement and that all information provided is accurate and complete.
Account Responsibility
If you create an account for course access, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
Prerequisites
Certain courses have technical prerequisites as stated in the course descriptions. By enrolling, you confirm that you meet the stated prerequisites or are prepared to acquire the necessary background knowledge before the course begins.
3. Course Enrollment and Payment
Enrollment Process
Course enrollment is confirmed upon receipt of full payment or agreement to a payment plan. We reserve the right to reject enrollment applications at our discretion.
Payment Terms
- Course fees must be paid in full before the first session unless alternative arrangements have been made
- All fees are in Singapore Dollars (SGD)
- Payment plans, if available, require adherence to the agreed schedule
- Late payments may result in temporary suspension of course access
Cancellation and Refund Policy
- Full refund if you cancel more than 14 days before the course start date
- 50 percent refund if you cancel 7-14 days before the course start date
- No refund for cancellations within 7 days of the course start date
- No refunds after the course has commenced
- All refunds will be processed within 30 days of approval
Course Postponement
techvauose reserves the right to postpone, reschedule, or cancel courses due to insufficient enrollment, instructor unavailability, or other circumstances. In such cases, students will be offered alternative dates or a full refund.
4. Course Access and Participation
Attendance Requirements
Students are expected to attend all scheduled sessions. Missed sessions cannot be made up individually, though recordings may be provided where technically feasible. Consistent absences may result in loss of course benefits.
Technical Requirements
Students are responsible for ensuring they have adequate internet connectivity, compatible hardware, and required software for participation. We provide specifications and support for setup but cannot guarantee compatibility with all configurations.
Code of Conduct
- Treat instructors and fellow students with respect
- Participate constructively in discussions and group activities
- Do not disrupt sessions or engage in behavior that interferes with learning
- Respect intellectual property rights of course materials
- Do not share course access credentials with others
Academic Integrity
All work submitted must be your own unless collaboration is explicitly permitted. Plagiarism, cheating, or other forms of academic dishonesty may result in dismissal from the course without refund.
5. Intellectual Property Rights
Course Materials
All course materials, including but not limited to lecture slides, code examples, documentation, videos, and assignments, are the intellectual property of techvauose or our licensors. These materials are provided solely for your personal educational use.
Restrictions
- You may not reproduce, distribute, or publicly display course materials
- You may not create derivative works from course content without permission
- You may not sell, rent, or transfer access to course materials to third parties
- You may not reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code from provided software
Student Work
You retain ownership of projects and code you create during the course. However, by submitting work for review or evaluation, you grant techvauose a non-exclusive license to use your work for educational and promotional purposes, with attribution.
6. Disclaimers and Limitations
Educational Nature
Our courses are educational in nature and do not constitute professional accreditation or certification recognized by regulatory bodies. Course completion certificates indicate successful participation but do not guarantee employment or specific career outcomes.
No Warranties
Services are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that courses will be uninterrupted, error-free, or meet specific requirements. We do not guarantee specific learning outcomes or skill acquisition.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Singapore law, techvauose's liability for any claims arising from your use of our services is limited to the fees paid for the specific course in question. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages.
Third-Party Services
Courses may require use of third-party services or platforms (cloud providers, development tools, etc.). We are not responsible for the availability, functionality, or terms of these third-party services.
7. Termination
By techvauose
We reserve the right to terminate your enrollment immediately without refund if you violate these terms, engage in conduct that disrupts the learning environment, or fail to meet payment obligations.
By You
You may withdraw from a course subject to our cancellation and refund policy as outlined in Section 3. Upon withdrawal or course completion, your access to course materials will be maintained for 6 months.
Effects of Termination
Upon termination, you must cease all use of course materials and delete any copies in your possession. Provisions regarding intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitations of liability survive termination.
8. Privacy and Data Protection
Your use of our services is subject to our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data. By using our services, you consent to our data practices as described in the Privacy Policy. Please review our Privacy Policy for details.
9. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any legal proceedings shall be brought in the courts of Singapore, and you consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of those courts.
Dispute Resolution Process
- Informal Resolution: We encourage you to contact us first to resolve any disputes informally. Most concerns can be addressed through direct communication.
- Mediation: If informal resolution fails, either party may propose mediation through the Singapore Mediation Centre. Both parties agree to participate in mediation in good faith.
- Arbitration: If mediation does not resolve the dispute, it shall be resolved through arbitration in Singapore in accordance with the Arbitration Rules of the Singapore International Arbitration Centre. The arbitrator's decision shall be final and binding.
10. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Material changes will be notified via email to enrolled students and posted on our website with an updated "Last Updated" date.
Continued participation in courses or use of our website after changes indicates your acceptance of the modified terms. If you do not agree with changes, you should discontinue use of our services.
11. General Provisions
Entire Agreement
These terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any course-specific agreements, constitute the entire agreement between you and techvauose regarding use of our services.
Severability
If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
No Waiver
Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these terms shall not constitute a waiver of that right or provision. Any waiver of these terms must be in writing and signed by an authorized representative.
Assignment
You may not assign or transfer your rights under these terms without our prior written consent. We may assign our rights and obligations under these terms without restriction.
